Johnny English Strikes Again

Johnny English is a rare phenomenon on cinema screens, which I don’t expect, but every time glad to see. Rowan Atkinson always impresses me in his versatile of comedian talents and I’m with a great pleasure watching his films and stage performances. To the third part of parody on James Bond flicks and passed fifteen years didn’t happen any changes in main crew and still with British comedian on their own place a screenwriter William Davies.   

The Great Britain is once again in the same Great Danger. Those circumstances have fallen on this country once again can be resolve only by one man and we know his name from a title screen. The screenplay is built on the pattern’s form that nobody didn’t try to change. From this conception without any hurdles easy to understand who’s the main bad guy from a first sight as every any other film’s detail. Collection of far limited standard characters in the story where impossible to astray.  

In Johnny English Strikes Again I was founding excellent jokes and what I’m liking in Rowan Atkinson’s films are absence of toilet humor. Also in this movie were a lot moments where I could guess what will next fun reason and especially it were understand in moments “Don’t do this”. Some jokes were against of script’s logic. In any genre depends how you will tell the story and in this situation about comedy. Even the most simple thing can make a laughable if right to show (in this place I’m thinking about the last scene in “It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World”.), but fine potential of Johnny English Strikes Again don’t allow me to get satisfaction with unlucky script. Actors were doing fantastic performance, but their characters were bad elaborated. Prime Minister of the United Kingdom with passion to alcohol mix, which acted Emma Thompson, could be an interesting person. Olga Kurylenko did an excellent job too, but a trivial role of a love interest for film is an exception here and especially for her character, a Russian agent, where I tried to find a clue “What KGB forgot here?” and whose professionalism was a funny thing if look on the real situation of nowadays.

Some funny scenes will possible for me to memorize in the future and for comedy it’s a good thing if compare last years. For whole movie only just watchable.
