Control


Play in Control after Ion Fury is impossible for perception. A game wasn’t a project for wait from announcement. Further appearance of new details brought to conclusion of coming storm. I couldn’t watch till end some gameplay video. Nearest past of developer wasn’t pleasant about them. Reluctance and disbelief to Control objected in the greatest Max Payne duology by those gamemakers, Remedy Entertainment. Sometimes I listen again some dialogs, where simple sentences (“You’re a bastard, Max.”) sound mighty in this screenplay. I often have an inner pressure to play again despite the last time was in a lately months. In Alan Wake impossible to play even for story, because it was poor written. Maybe, Remedy developers sold souls (or Finnish law restricts it?) for creation wonderful game, which will promote them, but price was in only with “Max Payne” title they can make excellent game. Due of glorious past I launched Control where I wanted to sure.

A plot of the game presents a trash in bad sense director is thinking that he is a philosopher and also that he can intrigue in sudden and unusual shots, which look senseless. Under terrible directing goes weird word competition, heroine’s banal wacky thoughts freezes active talks, pathos with failures as “He needs team. After few hours, I saw that the story doesn’t need text, because nothing is ruling of it and some were saying things about obvious. Almost ten hours is overuse for nothing. Inside of building, where happens action, hides open-world game, which becomes linear if follow for main errands. Characters with names present only for text reading of where to go and what to do. Head of security or a Negro woman with a gun willn’t participate in walking of lifebar declining of enemies health. Acting of every of them is a catastrophe filling of the game. Voicing performance is near to good or happens to be that, because it's a hard to pronounce wording abracadabra. Poster image philosophy, what will pivotal for plot, introduces Control and following appearance in scriptwriter title Sam Lake’s name would shame me. It’s a doppelganger of Finnish developer. Creator of spectacular allegory dialogs in Max Payne 1-2 tries to lookalike on them in Control.
No interesting assignments from in this only strict collection. Red Faction series, Stranglehold, it's abandoned sequel Gun Runner and especially unreleased ambitious Reich are surpassing Control in devastation. I had on mind many games on every case, when played in last of Remedy Entertainment. In throwing of subjects, I would prefer Star Wars Jedi Knight’s Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy. There I can distant choke humanoids and use thunder against them, when in Control can’t hold in air hostiles. The game asks much in system requirements, but it doesn’t cost even for graphics. I saw better in last years.
Lifebar kills everything. Mission with a performance of “Take control” was a one pretender to have some of like (just because song.), but shooting in health lines was a part of inappreciable walkthrough. Achievement made a weak directing, which was near to absence through the game, and AI was without ingenuity. Never was. I couldn’t find savvy action from hostiles. They shoot only when see protagonist and can sometimes strangely launch a rocket.

Remedy is surrounding of fantastic in games since Alan Wake, which doesn’t aspire to explain. Worst in this transformation, it influenced on spoil of quality in every aspect.
