E3 2018. Sony.
The unusual by Sony’s side was concluding in the beginning of the event, after demonstrating of one game, they left for a long break. Incredible fail on their part. If about part of presentation is giving the deserved last position to them, then in the showed games it surpasses Electronic Arts by introducing Control, known earlier as Project 7 or P7, which most likely meant the seventh game developed by the Finnish studio Remedy. I chained my attention to it, but having deep doubts from watched, also coming from past games, I would certainly wanting the revival of this company, which would break free from the status, as I call it the “two-revolutions wonder” meaning Max Payne's dilogy. From shown video, I didn’t get any sureness at all. It had a feeling that Remedy put together the ideas of previous games as slow motion and with having of superhuman abilities. The ambience in all senses reminded me Past Cure. More details are needed and the gameplay for full understanding.
By removing the gap in Sony conference, the first half I was thinking that watching a music concert, besides not with the most entertaining performers, and not an event that elucidates the games. Of the shown were nothing of decent, but at least Sony isn’t dominates by the continuations of long-running series, but it doesn’t get better from this. Once it was funny to watch for Norman Reedus and his Merry Backpacks. I changed the attitude to Spider-Man, whose trailer made me rid from wish to see the game on the computer. Forget all the absurdity of the video as the use of electricity for containers movement, because it made for marketing purposes and such videos usually are not part of the game, and here it was obviously it designed for representation of the villains. I didn’t like the method of freezing in the air and during fights with a large presence of artificial intelligence the manifestation from the last side of the expectation and little activity. The lack of the gaming industry was already written before. Outside of the exhibition, I later watched a separate fresh video with gameplay, where memorized to me the analogy with Saints Row IV. I would like to know what Volition is currently developing? Watching that video was somehow better perceived than what was on E3. However, willn’t to be the game on PC - and doesn’t care with it.
